Magus Agamimnon:
So, on the initial picture, i like it a lot. My medieval enthusiast self loves the way you have this buff cool guy sitting above everyone saying "Im board, NEXT!" is really classy. It lets the viewer get a good interpretation of the surroundings, and the overall setting.
Your line work is amazing. The amount of detail in your lines is very impressive. You do a great job at making sure every gap is closed. It adds a nice stylized filter onto your art. The guy holding the raven in the bottom right corner is kinda disturbing looking. As if he's bringing this Raven to show that a bad omen is about to come. The man looks almost sick. The detail in that guys face is really good.
As for the center of stage, Magus looks cool, and very bad ass. Your lines make him very intimidating, especially with all that muscle. Normally im into some muscle, but that scares me. xD
To expand on this however, you did a great job at the pose of this guy. I can imagine that a man like Magus with his large build would be very hard to draw sitting, while keeping his position, and you pulled that off very well.
Your background has the right amount of stuff in it so that way it can be easily focused towards the center. However, the small amount of things in the left side and right side of the background sorta draw my attention away a little bit. An easy fix for that would be to lightly shade it in, so it appears as if a dark room is back their, so the dark contrast would bring the focus back towards the center stage with Magus.
Your foreground is very nice. I enjoy the food on the table, it helps the viewer interpret the setting very well.
Over all, on this piece, you did an excellent job! I like the overall concept, and the picture does a great job at portraying this villainous character. Well, crafted! Keep up the amazing work!
Evolution of Magus:
I wont go to in depth on his evolution, but i will say i am glad you posted this. I like seeing the way characters evolve over the trials of time. The fact that this medieval warlord looking guy used to be a cyborg that turned into a jet fascinates me.
The way he looks in picture 2 is pretty swanky! I dig the hair, and the outfit.
Picture 2 is neet, showing is nice color scheme. It just occurred to me on how less muscular he is compared to the newer model.
magus retro, is cool, i like the pose a lot.
Once he begins getting super muscular is where he gets super spooky to me.
I like the picture where he toss's his sword. Its just really funny to me. What if that hit some one!!! :lol:
Raines v.s. magus is a very cool piece. I can feel the pressure between those two is very spooky.
I liked the evoulution a lot. I gotta say, if thats how you drew in middle school, then i can tell you were like me in middle school, and everyone always voted you as the best artist. Cause that is some good talent. Seeing this evoulution chain made me remember the evoulutions of some of my charecters, which was pretty funny.
Keep up the amazing work. Your art is really cool, and i cant wait to get around to see more of it!
