Its a hard decision on which is better, both the original and remix are amazing, and to make it more difficult to decide, both of the songs have my 2 favorite style, House, and Chiptune.
But I would have to say I prefer the original more, the 8-Bit style can't pull off the atmosphere of the original as good as it would need to. But that doesn't mean that the Chiptune remix isn't good, the remix is great, and its only issue is the flow/atmosphere, which is hard to perfect in Chiptune songs.

An related 8Bit for me is a Famitracker work, Though an 8Bit purist can call everything made on nowadays computers fake-bit! We however mixing all borders in ends when speaking about art.
