Second Sun - 'Stumble Unsteady' [Alt Rock]

Post by Absconditus » Mon Aug 06, 2018 12:19 pm

This song started out as a major-key, solo acoustic folk/pop ballad, but it didn't seem to work when it was tried with the band. So the keyboard player completely re-wrote every chord to the song, while leaving the vocals and lyrics unchanged, turning it into something much more dark and epic. Is it the same song??

The original solo acoustic version is included as a secret track on the album, you can compare it here [unlisted video]:

amazing and i couldn't really tell if it's a female on vocals or not. The piano structure is really well structured and im not sure how you did it in two songs. Really good stuff. And the idea of a secret song is always cool because it get listeners who forgot to turn of the record by suprise

Sorry about the extremely late reply!!
Thanks! Yes all the vocals are female on this one.
Secret tracks were always such a cool thing. It's a shame they don't really work in the world of mp3 playlists. Secret tracks let artists include something they want heard but without it feeling necessarily like it's part of the album.

I loved both of them, but I must say the first really goes in heavy. But they really do feel like two different songs, great stuff
